Bundle Up Kids for School

Did you know that over 8,000 kids in Arlington qualify for free or reduced-price lunch? As their parents get out coats, sweaters, and boots from last winter, many find that they are too small for their growing kids! These families often are struggling to make ends meet in an increasingly expensive place to live and can't afford a brand new outfit every new season.

The Clothesline expects to help 1,300 kids this winter - outfitting them with coats, shoes, new underwear and socks, hoodies, pants, bras, PJs, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. - over 35,000 items of clothing! Our goal is to provide all the clothes that kids need to stay warm - but also to help them feel comfortable and confident in the classroom. Meanwhile, their parents can focus their resources on other important family goals.

This giving season, please support The Clothesline with a donation to help make this service possible for your Arlington neighbors. As a special incentive, the Bergstrom Foundation, Knight Family Vision Foundation and our founders will match your donation 1:1 up to $60,000 through the end of the year. Your funds are very important to pay for the welcoming store, clothing items to fill gaps in our inventory, and our small but dedicated staff. Without community support we simply can't reach more of the many, many kids in need in Arlington.
