After 6 years on Pershing
Drive, we've finally outgrown our britches! Since our first year in
2018, we are serving six
times more kids now - with nearly 2,100 appointments per year.
With a bigger store we can host more volunteers, accept more donations, and give more clothes to families in a timely manner. Nearly 9,000 kids qualify for our services in Arlington County, and we want to be able to reach even more of them.
Last month Bombas Socks donated 7,500 pairs of socks to the store and we did not have the space to store the boxes. It took several days to rent a storage unit and haul everything there. With more room we could keep all clothing onsite and give it away immediately. This is just one example of how our store operations would be more efficient with a bigger space.
After several months of looking, we have found a new home that will allow us to meet our goals. With your financial help we can secure this bigger store to help us serve more families as soon as this Fall!
