Give Kids a Reason to Kick Up Their Heels

We gave away more than 1,100 pairs of shoes last year! Thank you for making that possible! We are proud of this unique service to clients and we want to continue to meet the critical needs of vulnerable Arlington families.

We take shoes seriously at The Clothesline. After all, we rented a storage unit so that we could rededicate one of our rooms as a shoe room! That was a lot of work, but well worth it to be able to offer the right shoes for every Arlington schoolkid who needs them.

Shoes are such an important part of a child’s wardrobe! We've heard from many of our families that they are a runaway hit. Sneakers or school shoes that fit well and suit their style are critical for kids to thrive, be physically active, and feel good about themselves.

This year, we want to do even more. The Clothesline is once more welcoming families to come shop in the store for a week's worth of school and play clothes. With our happy makeover of the "shoe room", students are encouraged to try on pairs until they find the right ones. One mom told us, "My girls get so excited when it is their turn to shop at The Clothesline. They told me it is their favorite store now."

We are grateful to our new local partner Pacers for contributing high quality sneakers. But we still need YOU, as the Pacers donation only covers part of our need. We can acquire new, quality, comfy shoes for about $25/pair. Will you help us raise $25,000 by June 30 so we can provide Arlington kids their summertime kicks?
