When Ellen & Ben started The Clothesline almost three years ago, our shop seemed like an easy way for neighbors to help neighbors and to act responsibly with re-usable goods. By collecting and redistributing new or gently-used kids' clothing, The Clothesline provides a respectful, welcoming, fun store-like environment for low-income families to access quality clothing - twice a year - absolutely free.
Our mission has quickly grown to serve over 700 families! We are grateful to this community for all the amazing clothing donations that have made this possible --- but we are coming up short on SHOES.
With your help, we can acquire new, quality, comfy shoes for about $25/pair. Will you help us raise $15,000 by June 30 so we can provide Arlington kids their summertime kicks? As a further incentive, The Scheidel Foundation and a few core donors will match the first $6,000 of donations, dollar for dollar.
